This posting will be used to create an eligibility list. This list will be used for current and future openings. Purpose Statement: Under supervision of Director of Special Services or designee, provide one-on-one or small-group instruction to students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD); present instructional material; complete routine clerical duties. This position is distinguished by knowledge of and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), TEACCH, and other methods of instruction commonly used with students who have ASD. Requirements / Qualifications• Experience: Experience working with children in an educational or other structured setting, preferably with students with disabilities. Successful completion of the EDCOE Instructional Assistant-Autism exam. • Education: High school diploma or the equivalent, and two years of college (48 units), or A.A. degree (or higher), or pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction. Training in Applied Behavioral Analysis Techniques, TEACCH Techniques, and behavior management strategies. *All applicants are required to pass testing in order to be placed on an eligibility list*Please include the following attachments with your completed application:
