The Department emphasizes excellence in teaching and seeks energetic and knowledgeable instructors who will teach students pursuing a special education major or minor. We seek individuals with expertise to teach undergraduate courses (face-to-face and online) in one or more of the following areas: introduction to special education; early childhood /early intervention; education of learners with extensive support needs; transition from school to adulthood in special education; class-wide and individualized behavior supports; assistive technology; and bilingual/ESL special education. Master degree in special education or closely related field.2. A minimum of 3 years of work experience as a special educator or in a related field working with individuals with disabilities. 3. Professional Educator License and Special Education Endorsement (LBS1, DHH, BVI) or related license (i.e., SLP, ECE).4. Candidates must be able to demonstrate oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position, as mandated by state law.Preferred Qualifications1.
