Work Year: Ten-month position (190 days) Work Week: 32.5 hours/week Hourly Wage: $20.35-$24.03 (Dependent upon experience) Qualifications: Skills and knowledge minimum - Associate's Degree or equivalent Responsibilities : Experience in working with children; : Experience working with medically fragile students, preferred; : Ability to lift and use proper body mechanics to move students with physical disabilities; : Willingness to support hygiene/toileting and diapering needs of adolescent medically complex students; : Provide assistance to mandated students under the supervision of special education teachers; : Ability to work with a special needs student in a classroom environment and ability to follow teacher and related staff instructions in regard to work modifications and behavior plans; : Strong behavior management skills; : Ability to present material in a clear and efficient manner; : Ability to help organize content area information; : Ability to consistently implement instructional and behavior programs for special education students under the direction of special education teacher; and : Ability to relate to students, teachers, and staff in a positive and effective manner.
