Description: Special Education Instructional Assistant Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois ELS(PARA) [Educator License with Stipulations - Paraprofessional], OR
- Valid Illinois PEL (teaching license), OR
- Valid Illinois Substitute license
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Job Summary: - Implement strategies to meet the needs of students with a variety of learning needs.
- Assist students with special education needs within the building / Special Education Program.
- Assist with implementation of assistive technology to promote independence.
- Communicate with case managers and classroom teachers in fulfilling the students' Individual Education Plans.
- Document assistance and accommodations provided to each student.
- May need to assist students with personal care needs - including toileting and feeding.
