Position Type: Administration/Program SupervisorDate Posted: 11/1/2024Location: Education and LearningDistrict: Genesee Intermediate School DistrictThe Instructional Coach and Consultant, English Learners is responsible for implementing the ESOL Program in cohesion with the Program Supervisor. They oversee the required professional learning of ESOL Program Staff including EL facilitators, liaisons and ESL teachers. They also support the professional learning and ESOL Program implementation in participating consortium districts and PSAs. The Instructional Coach and Consultant provides countywide WIDA ACCESS and related trainings. They collaborate with local district Point of Contacts (POCs) to coordinate and support professional learning for local district instructional staff who have EL identified students as well as building administrators and enrollment staff. The coach and consultant utilizes their expertise to support the English as a Second/Other Language (ESOL) program eligibility and identification; consults on instructional programming, evaluation and assessment; advises on parent engagement, communication and outreach; and assists with Program Evaluation.
Available: One (1) full-time positions; 7.5 hours per day. 185 days per year.
Salary: Program Facilitator Salary Schedule. A competitive salary schedule featuring educational pay lanes and steps. Years of service will be considered.

Qualifications: Education: Master's Degree required. Valid Michigan teacher certificate with ESL or bilingual endorsement required. Demonstrated proficiency or significant experience in a language other than English required. SIOP Trainer of Trainers Preferred. Coaching and mentoring preferred. Experience: Five years of successful experience educating K-12 English Learners of diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Demonstrated experience in administering, interpreting and evaluating student language proficiency assessments including WIDA Screener, WIDA ACCESS and WIDA Alt ACCESS.
