Job Description:
Business Area Empire Today's Human Resources department is a critical component to meeting our business needs through managing our most valuable resources - our employees.The essential functions of the department include recruiting, safety, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, and training and development. Responsibilities
  • Conducts training needs analysis to identify the knowledge, skills and competencies required to complete job tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Works closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to clarify complex concepts, ensure accuracy of course content, and design instructionally sound learning solutions.
  • Designs and develops creative learning solutions that include, but are not limited to, classroom training, eLearning and blended learning solutions.
  • Primary administrator of the LMS including user management, course uploads, course enrollments and reporting, and technical support.
  • Develops an effective instructional strategy and designs documents for each learning intervention based upon established learning objectives and the characteristics of a given target audience.
  • Writes and edits storyboards, interactive scripts, and other learning documentation.
  • Designs and develops materials including participant/facilitator guides and job aids.
  • Authors eLearning and mobile learning using an array of authoring tools.
  • Ensures training material content is clear, accurate, consistent, and free of spelling and grammatical errors for self as well as team members.
  • Ensures team deliverables meet agreed-upon instructional design standards.
  • Maintains high level of relevant product knowledge personally and within the team.
  • Effectively and successfully manages multiple projects to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
  • Conducts editorial reviews of training content.
Qualifications The successful candidate will possess:
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, instructional design, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of success creating eLearning courses.
  • Video recording and editing experience preferred.
  • Proven ability in partnering with SMEs to turn complex technical training into interactive, easy to follow eLearning courses.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and maintaining SCORM compliant courses and reporting.
  • Proven ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts, etc.
  • Proven visual design skills and ability to storyboard.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong people management, problem resolution and leadership skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive without waiting for direction.
  • Possess ability to learn new technologies, the curiosity to figure out how things work, and a passion for improving the software experience of end-users.
  • Must have a big picture focus in both departmental and company strategy.
  • Excellent creative and conceptual thinking abilities.
  • Superior organizational skills, project management and attention to detail
