Explore the opportunities awaiting you at Reid Petroleum, where every day brings new possibilities for personal and professional growth.Summary This position's primary function is to design and develop learning experiences for both the operations line-level teams and leadership teams within our entities of Reid Petroleum and Crosby Stores. This position will focus on the development of instructional content to be used by Field Leadership Trainers to facilitate associates in acquiring the knowledge, skills, and competencies for 100% execution of brand standards across The Reid Group of companies. The person in this position possesses both critical thinking skills and creativity, while being outcome and analysis driven in our pursuit of constant improvement. Essential Functions A. Company Strategy and Goals
- Understand how the company's annual operating goals impact the knowledge, skills, and behaviors required for our team members.
- Develop learning and development goals and approaches that support the business strategy and goals.
- Measure the impact of learning and development efforts on our company's success.
B. Content Creation and Design
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances knowledge transfer and retention.
- Design thoughtful and impactful learning objectives and develop content to ensure achievement of these goals.
- Visualize instructional graphics, user interfaces, and the finished product.
C. Needs Analysis and Collaboration
- Work with field personnel to identify target audience training needs.
- Partner with Field Leadership Trainer and operations management (District and Regional) to create supporting materials/media (audio, visual, simulations, role plays, games, etc.) for training content.
D. Instructional Design and Development
- Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods ex. (EDGE) explain, demonstrate, guide, & empower to content creation and delivery.
- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process and aid in achieving 100% execution of brand standards.
- Design and develop various training programs/paths including associate training program, certified training program, food service leader training program, customer service/shift leader training program, leadership development program, and District Operations Leader training programs.
- Evaluate and make recommendations for cost effective creation of training materials/content.
- Manage the company's learning management system to ensure team members' records are accurate and to analyze the database to identify learning and growth opportunities
- Explore and implement best practices in artificial intelligence and other technology to efficiently create interactive learning programs
- Produce engaging learning videos and other self-study tools
E. Leadership Development
- Design and develop leadership training content and paths, specifically focusing on store level leadership growth and development.
F. Assessment and Evaluation
- In coordination with operations leadership, build criteria for judging learner performance, develop assessment tools, and measure results.
- Update training materials regularly to reflect process changes and to improve content based on feedback from end-users.
G. Company Standards and Branding
- Use company mission, core values, key customer requirements, and brand standards as the foundation for all content developed.

RequirementsMinimum Qualifications
- High School education required. College Degree preferred.
- Preference will be given to candidates with backgrounds in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Instructional Design certificate programs.
- Experience in hospitality, retail, and the restaurant industry, with preference given to candidates who have spent time in operations in a training role.
- Previous experience as an instructional designer, experience in learning and organizational development or adult education is preferred.
- Preferred experience in video production and editing is a plus.
- Lesson and curriculum planning skills.
- Ability to write effective instructional text, audio, and video scripts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation skills; must be comfortable speaking in both large and small-group settings.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Advanced working knowledge of Office 365 Suite and course creation software.
- Positive can-do attitude, service-oriented, high energy, flexible and creative.
- Ability to interact easily with diverse groups of employees across multiple levels of the organization.
