We are seeking a passionate and innovative Instructional Technology Coordinator to join our After School Program team.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Instructional Technology Coordinator will lead, develop and implement engaging, technology-integrated programing that motivates students to explore future high technology career pathways. You will play a key role in guiding young people to discover and foster their gifts and interests, explore their own ideas, develop new skills, and build confidence in themselves using Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math (STEAM) and equipping them with the foundational knowledge and skills for future career opportunities. Our mission is to expose students to new options that can help unlock their gifts and talents and help them reach their full potential.This position requires advanced knowledge of and experience working with the African American community. This would be demonstrated by knowledge of the traditions, values, and customs of the community being served as well as the ability to identify specific examples of experience (professional and lived) working directly with individuals and families who identify with the African American community. This position reports to the After School Program (ASP) Manager.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with SEI staff and tech program consultant to develop a comprehensive technology-focused after-school program and curriculum that will excite youth about technology and STEAM careers, with emphasis on the semiconductor industry. The program should incorporate age-appropriate STEAM concepts, technology applications, and career exploration activities.
  • Research and implement innovative project-based learning strategies that leverage technology to enhance student engagement.
  • Source and utilize relevant educational technology tools and resources to create interactive and hands-on learning experiences.
  • Build relationships and partnerships with high tech and semiconductor companies and industry professionals to develop guest speaker opportunities, mentorship programs, volunteer instructors, and field trips.
  • Collaborate with the ASP Manager and program instructors and staff to ensure smooth program operation, partnership development, and effective delivery of instruction.
  • Develop a road map and set of yearly/quarterly objectives that will guide program activities.
  • Conduct program evaluations and assessments to measure student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • Stay current on advancements in the technology field and semiconductor industry, such as AI, robotics, and VR, and integrate these developments into the program curriculum.
  • Work with the After School Program (ASP) staff to meet departmental goals and objectives while providing guidance within area of responsibility.
  • Oversee management, inventory and technical support for program equipment and software.
  • Manage program budget for technology resources and materials.
  • Promote the Semiconductor Pathways Program to attract student participation.
  • Attending all required staff meetings and trainings.
  • Enforce standards of student conduct and discipline in accordance with the SEI policies and procedures.
  • Personal adherence to SEI standards and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Technology, Design, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience working with after-school programs or in a STEM education setting.
  • Strong understanding of STEM concepts, particularly as they relate to the Semiconductor industry.
  • Proven ability to develop engaging, interactive, and age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate technology.
  • Proficiency in a variety of educational technology tools, multimedia applications, and software programs.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for inspiring and motivating young learners.
  • Must be self-driven and work well as part of a team.
  • Ability to use personal initiative, leadership and cooperation in performing job duties.
  • Great organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks.
