**Additional compensation opportunities may be available through engagement in educational and industry partnership activities.Variable schedule12 months (Trimester)GENERAL SUMMARY:Thisposition will facilitate learning for an associate in applied science degree andcustom training programs in the A/C Refrigeration Program within the School of Engineering& Construction Technologies, teaching courses in ACR system applications,commercial and residential A/C and heating systems, and commercialrefrigeration.PRINCIPALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate records of students' progressand provide them to administration when appropriate.
- The instructional load, which is 15 credithours per semester, may consist of day and night classes or distancelearning, with instructional locations fluctuating between theOSUIT-Okmulgee campus, OSU-Tulsa campus, and custom training programs withindustry and educational partners.
- This person will also be expected to maintainregular office hours.
- Developing and updating course materials andcurriculum in conjunction with the construction faculty, advisorycommittee representatives, general education faculty and technical programfaculty will be an essential job function.
- Assumedaily responsibility of housekeeping and maintenance of classrooms andlaboratories.
- Willinglyprovide tours for prospective students, parents and other campus visitors.
- Routinelyattend and participate in special events, e.g. graduation, studentextra-curricular activities, advisory committee meetings, student move-inday, employee recognition functions, student club activities, field trips,etc.
- Willinglyspend the time necessary to accomplish assigned tasks andresponsibilities.
- Maintainup-to-date course outlines, objectives, assignments and tests.
- Serveon appropriate curriculum committees.
- Willinglyparticipate in both unit and institution-wide student persistence efforts.
- Fosterand maintain collaborative relationships with industry representatives andpartners.
- Designinteractive, engaging, technology-enriched and applications-focusedstudent learning experiences.
- Participatefully in the academic assessment of student learning in alignment with theexpectations of accreditation and governing entities.
- Willinglyassist with the wide array of OSUIT's student recruitment strategies.
- Representthe School and University in appropriate professional and communityorganizations and related activities.
- Fulfill other responsibilities to meet theneeds of the School or OSUIT.

- Bachelor'sdegree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college oruniversity
- Othercombinations of education and industry experience may be substituted fordegree requirement.
- Evidencesa history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
- Five yearsof evidenced commercial construction industry experience.
- Teachingexperience in Higher Education preferred.
- Demonstratedsuccess in collaborating with various constituencies.

- Computerskills to include electronic communications, word processing, and theability to use specific software associated with the position arenecessary.
