Professor of Mass Communications with expertise in Broadcast Journalism will report to the Chair of the Mass Communications Department. He/she will teach skills courses in television production not limited to TV Productions I and II, Broadcast Writing and Reporting, Broadcast News Gathering and Reporting, and Sports Production. Additional teaching responsibilities may include other courses within the candidates areas of expertise such as managing a live studio and remote productions. Candidate is expected to participate fully in departmental recruitment activities, promoting the department within the state and nationally, committee service, grantsmanship and research obligations consistent with all faculty appointments.QualificationsQualificationsA masters degree in communications related to Broadcast Journalism or a related field is required. A completed doctorate is required for a tenure track appointment and the rank of Assistant Professor. ABD will be considered. Candidates must have experience with Logic Pro X Audio Editing Software. Fluency with Adobe Creative Suites Software. The successful candidate will be expected to continue a research agenda and participate in service activities. Experience working with diverse student populations and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
