Job Description:
Instructor - Cranes & Rigging (Level 1 & Level 2)Full-Time & Part-Time Roles AvailableITI instructors conduct training programs related to cranes, rigging, and heavy equipment at ITI Training Centers as well as at ITI customer locations around the world. Instructors also serve as Consultants at times, and conduct field services including accident investigations, crane and rigging audits, procedure development, and other advisory services. We are looking for people who have: Industrial Experience:Level 1:
  • 5 years of experience working in a construction and/or industrial environment with a variety of crafts and team member roles, and;
  • 5 years of experience directly conducting, managing, or planning one of the following activity sets:
    • Rigging loads with cranes, inspecting rigging, signaling.
    • Operating, inspecting, and/or maintaining cranes.
    • Lift planning, directing lifts, lift plan review and safety/risk assessments of lifting activities.
Level 2:
  • 20 years of experience working in a construction and/or industrial environment with a variety of crafts and team member roles, and;
  • 10 years of experience directly conducting, managing, or planning one of the following activity sets:
  • Rigging loads with cranes, inspecting rigging, signaling.
  • Operating, inspecting, and/or maintaining cranes.
  • Lift planning, directing lifts, lift plan review and safety/risk assessments of lifting activities.
Professional Communication Skills:
  • ITI prefers people with experience conducting training, public speaking, team lead/foreman/superintendent capacities, as well as, audits, technical writing, curriculum design, and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and team-building skills which create a great classroom and outdoor learning environment, so students are engaged and interactive.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication with students and customer management personnel. Ability to write, administer and report on various documents such as written and practical exams, class rosters, attendance, timecards, expense reports, customer email communications, and customer-facing reports.
Learning & Development Professional:
  • Is a life-long learner, demonstrates experience or a strong passion to become a professional instructor. A passion for going the extra mile with the class and individual students, and love to see a student's light bulb moment. Passion and ability to learn new training programs quickly.
  • A passion to help customers create a safe work environment for their workforce, by eliminating or reducing risk through education, skills enhancement, and other solutions.
  • Instructors may also assist in the development and editing of training materials and customer presentations
Other Requirements:The ability to travel and be away from home up to 20 nights per month. Instructors may also assist in the development and editing of training materials and customer presentations. Instructors must live within a reasonable driving distance to a major USA international airport, and ITI prefers candidates who live near an ITI Training Center:

ITI conducts background investigations following offers of employment. All background investigations are provided by third-party contractors who specialize in these services. Compensation Annual Base salary ranges: Level 1: $60,000 to $75,000 Level 2: $75,000 to $95,000 depending on experience, training credentials, and education.BenefitsThis position is eligible for ITI benefits including: Excellent health and welfare benefits package; 401(k) Retirement plan (with 3% guaranteed employer contribution plus up to 7% match); PTO (3.5 to 6.5 weeks pre year depending on seniority); Paid holidays and other paid leave such as volunteer pay, military leave, bereavement; professional development; ITI Healthy Instructor Recovery Weeks program; bonus program (paid quarterly) based on the number of training days (tenured Instructors often earn $6,000 - $8,000 / year); and Unit Appreciation Rights; travel expenses, amongst other benefits.
