Stark State College is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to join our Computer Science, Information Systems, & Information Security department as a full-time Instructor in Information Security. The successful candidate will play a critical role in preparing students for careers in cybersecurity, network defense, and IT security roles through dynamic teaching and hands-on learning experiences. Typical Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and deliver engaging coursework in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Network Security, Ethical Hacking, and related subjects.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and certifications to ensure program relevance.
  • Advise and mentor students in academic and career development.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement of the program.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in department and college-wide initiatives, including professional development activities.
  • Maintain industry certifications relevant to cybersecurity.
To Be Considered You'll Need: Master's Degree or a Bachelor's Degree (or higher) with a major certification or a Bachelor's degree with a professional credential dictated by the field required.
