University of Rochester: Office of the Provost: University of Rochester Medical Center: School of Medicine and Dentistry: Neurology: Neurology: Neuro Critical CareSalary Range or Pay Grade65,416-214,087DescriptionThe NeuroMedical ICU at University of Rochester Medical Center/Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking a Neurocritical Care Instructor/Sr Instructor/Assistant Professor. The candidate will join an active clinical practice in a collegial environment with ample opportunities for research, teaching, and academic advancement in addition to neurocritical care fellowship training.The URMC NeuroMedical ICU is a state-of-the-art 12 bed closed unit utilizing the latest technology in neurocritical care. A comprehensive team of physicians, advanced practice providers, fellows and residents works collaboratively with the departments of neurology and neurosurgery to provide outstanding patient care. The ICU is supported by a committed nursing staff, rehab and palliative care specialists, and a dedicated social worker.The University of Rochester Medical Center is a tertiary referral center for the region and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. It is anchored by Strong Memorial Hospital, an 886 bed University-owned teaching hospital. URMC consistently ranks among the best in the nation by US News and World Report, and ranks in the top quartile among US academic centers in NIH funded research.QualificationsQualified candidates will be BC/BE in Anesthesiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine. Candidates must have an MD, DO or equivalent.
