Taylor Hall Pay Grade:Academic Job Description:Instructor/Undergraduate AdvisorThe Division of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) within the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Louisiana State University (LSU)-Baton Rouge invites applications for a full-time undergraduate advisor and instructor position. Duties include, but are not limited to, providing faculty instruction for undergraduate CS credit courses, academic advising of undergraduate students, contributing to curriculum matters and participating in various recruitment and retention initiatives.Job Responsibilities70% Provide academic advising of undergraduate students, contribution to curriculum matters and participate in various recruitment and retention initiatives.30% Provide faculty instruction for undergraduate CS credit courses.Minimum QualificationsMaster's degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline.InstructorThe position will be 100% teaching. Teach undergraduate computer science courses in core and specialization areas, including software engineering, programming, systems, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data analytics; engage students in project and independent study courses; and serve on committees related to undergraduate matter. Emphasis will be placed on a candidate's ability to engage students in and out the classroom.Job ResponsibilitiesTeach undergraduate computer science courses in core and specialization areas, including software engineering, programming, systems, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data analytics; engage students in project and independent study courses; and serve on committees related to undergraduate matter. Design and development of online courses in the areas of programming, data structures and algorithm, and systems with the support and resources provided by LSU online.
