Description
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO INCLUDE (but not limited to):
* Inspects, repairs, troubleshoots, calibrates and maintains the facility distributive instrumentation systems, automatic control valves, transmitters and controllers
* Responsible for steam tracing repairs and monitoring
* Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems with the ability to diagnose and solve problems
* Utilizes pneumatic and electronic test equipment.
* Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
* Mechanical repair work and services in a safe, proficient manner on plant equipment and facility.
* Troubleshooting equipment - identifying problems and developing a course of action to resolve.
* Communication with production - understanding the problems and needs of production.
* Experience maintaining preventative maintenance schedules.
* Have a strong emphasis on safety and exhibit good safety practices.
* Must be able to resolve breakdown issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
* Responsible for alerting the Maintenance Supervisor of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur.
* Perform the primary thinking encompassed by this job description.

Qualifications
Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb and squat. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. In addition, must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toed footwear, rain gear, Nomex coveralls, work gloves, face shield, environmental protective clothing, and breathing respirator.
Work Environment - The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high as normal in a manufacturing site. All of the work will be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE. Will also result in exposure to outside weather elements.
