Job Description:

What You'll be doing:

  • Review and prepare engineering products, including design/engineering change packages, specifications, calculations, and technical evaluations.
  • Oversee contracted engineering work to ensure consistency with company and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and oversight for Factory and Site Acceptance Testing and Simulations.
  • Interface with equipment suppliers and project stakeholders to conduct technical reviews.
  • Analyze engineering risks and failure modes, incorporating mitigation strategies into designs.
  • Support the construction/implementation phase, including design updates and resolution of technical issues.
  • Report project status to engineering team leads, project managers, and leadership.

Top Qualifications We're Looking For:

Required Skills:

  • Experience with nuclear power plant design, systems, and components.
  • Strong background in Electrical, Computer, or I&C Engineering.
  • Proven specification, technical, and engineering writing skills.
  • Design Qualification (must be clear on your CV).

Preferred Skills:

  • Nuclear operations experience (SRO/STA).
  • Familiarity with 50.59 evaluations (or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with Industrial Control Systems (DCS, PLC) and associated control devices, computers, communications, and networks.
  • Expertise in power generation controls, steam turbine control systems, and advanced control techniques.

Soft Skills for Success

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead, collaborate, and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • 6+ years of directly related electrical power design engineering experience, preferably in a nuclear power setting.
  • 10+ years of industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent extensive field experience).
  • Holding or previously holding a U.S. Professional Engineer license is advantageous.
