At the Levin Center, we train the next generation of researchers to focus on solutions rather than academic disciplines. This position supports two summer programs: the Joaquin Bustoz Math-Science Honors Program (JBMSHP) and the Quantitative Research in the Life and Social Sciences Program (QRLSSP), including year-round activities for both programs and other endeavors.End Date:January 17, 2025Apply before midnight Arizona timeJob Description:Salary Range:$50,000 - $60,000 per year; DOEEssential Duties:Account management via the Workday financial management system, including: expense approvals, payment processing and transfers, account reporting, account monitoring and reconciling.Management of the center's purchasing card expenses, approvals, allocations, and reconciliation.Travel processing in the Concur travel system, including trip request submissions and approvals, expense report review and approvals, and travel expense tracking.Assists in post-award management, accounting, expense tracking/reporting, and reconciliation of the center's sponsored funding.Creates, collects and maintains all applicable accounting records and files to ensure compliance with ASU policies.Serves as a resource to staff, faculty, students and other individuals regarding policies and regulations related to the administration of funds, compliance with budget restrictions, and assists in resolution of issues.Other administrative duties as assigned.Desired Qualifications:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, strong organization and time management skills, and a good working knowledge of general accounting procedures.Experience in post-award procedures in higher education, and compliance with federal and state regulations.Knowledge of the Enterprise Research Administration (ERA), Concur and Workday systems.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Adobe Acrobat, and Google Forms/Sheets.Working Environment:Activities are generally performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting, subject to extended periods of sitting and consistent use of a desktop computer.Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily work also include walking moderate distances, bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 20 pounds.Ability to clearly communicate verbally in English, read, write, see and hear are necessary to perform essential duties.Ability to work both independently or within a complex structured team.Typically receives no instructions on routine work and general instructions on new assignments with review of completed tasks.Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies to select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities and return to complete unfinished tasks.Hybrid work option will be available once employee is established in position.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.Driving Requirement:This position may require driving.
