If so, then come join a passionate team focused on safe and efficient solutions.THE OPPORTUNITYReporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical Technician will:
- Repair, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and improve equipment operation, efficiency, reliability, and safety by utilizing a working knowledge of instrument, control, and electrical systems with minimal supervision.
- Support upgrades to plant instrumentation and control system infrastructure, such as software, servers, processors, IO hardware, plant instrumentation, switches, and workstations.
- Assist in developing detailed plans for plant instrumentation and control system equipment shutdowns, outages, and major equipment maintenance.
- Assist in developing PM, PdM, and calibration programs as required to achieve high availability and accuracy of instrumentation and control systems and site electrical distribution systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair process instrumentation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), three-phase circuits and other process control hardware.
THE QUALIFICATIONSThe right candidate will be an experienced technician with solid troubleshooting skills. Your credentials ideally include:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 7 years instrumentation, control, and industrial electrical experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Strong commitment to safety
- Possess a strong working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and compliance in relation to, transformer operation and theory, electrical circuit design such as three-phase and motor control circuits, and PLC input/output and instrument wiring
- Prior experience with electric motors and starters, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, D/C circuit analysis and PCs and their operating systems
- Ability to work on day shift Monday - Friday, with availability for rotating callout coverage
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot and program electrical and electronic equipment, including Allen-Bradley PLCs
