Job Description:
PACE is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Programmer with specific experience designing, fabricating, programming, and commissioning electrical control systems using SCADA, PLCs, DCS, and industrial networking hardware to support our growing energy efficiency and sustainability group.The Instrumentation and Controls Programmer will be supporting the design, fabrication, and deployment of controls and instrumentation in the following market sectors:Potable and Non-Potable Water Production, Storage & DistributionWater and Wastewater TreatmentPumping FacilitiesCogeneration and Solar Power ProductionWater Quality and Environmental MonitoringRecreational Aquatic FacilitiesApplicants shall have the following minimum experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA system programmingMinimum of 5 years of experience performing field start-up and troubleshooting of PLC, SCADA, Radio Network, and Field Instrumentation systemsSpecific skills needed:Proficient with MS Excel, MS WordProficient in the development of P&IDs and associated I/O diagramsStrong understanding of wiring schematics and field instrumentation field wiringSCADA programs, including system graphic and database design for:iFixWonderwareIgnitionFactory Talk View StudioCitectPLC hardware setup and programming, including:Allen BradleySchneider ElectricSiemensPLC programming software:Rockwell Automation RSLogix5000 and Studio 5000Unity ProControl ExpertTelepace StudioHMI Programming SoftwareFactory Talk SE and MEPreferencesThe following skills are not required, but are highly desirable:Experience working with AutoCAD, PC networks, MS Windows, and Apple OS in an industrial environmentExperience with water treatment and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping facilities, and water storage / conveyance systemsCandidate resumes will be evaluated relative to experience and knowledge of all areas listed above.Physical DemandWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, handle or feel; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; color vision is very helpful. Occasional field work may be required and includes walking through uneven, rugged terrain, requiring good balance, ability to walk moderate to long distances, and good general vision and depth of field vision.The noise level in the office work environment is moderate. May be required to work in external environment in all weather conditions.Salary Range$55,000 - $115,000.
