- Facilitate effective telecommunication, gas measurement and remote control inspections
- Directs and participates in installation of telemetry and automation equipment
- Inspects, repairs and calibrates equipment
- Interprets and implements gas measurement and SCADA device installation specifications
- Performs design, programming installation and operation of electronic gas measurement and control systems
- Inspects and tests facilities and equipment to identify malfunctions
- Troubleshoots problems, replaces equipment/components and repairs, calibrates and maintains equipment
- Ensures installations and equipment comply with regulations
- Responds to gas leak calls to identify unknown gasses during leak surveys
- Analyzes gas samples to meet gas quality standards for new pipeline commissioning
- May train MC and C Technician trainees and may supervise MC and C projects
- Maintain interactive work relationship with Gas Measurement personnel and Engineers to accurately complete job responsibilities Who you are : You have:
- 2+ years electronics experience and/or measurement/control/communications or related experience along with an associate degree OR an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of an associate degree. Military Service members and veterans with ranks E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3 are encouraged to apply
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record that will be verified upon hire You can:
- Show knowledge of electronic, radio, digital and remote-control theory along with applicable regulations and standards (FCC, FAA, AGA, API, NEC, etc.)
- Interpret installation manuals, technical instructions, wiring, diagrams and blueprints You are:
- Able to prepare technical reports and repair/maintenance records in addition to performing arithmetic and algebraic calculations
- Proficient with computers and networking The following are considered assets:
- An Associates degree in Electronics or Technical subject areas
- Journeyman or Electrical license
- IE or gas quality experience Working Conditions:
- Work performed 75% of the time in the field with the remaining 25% being in a shop environment being exposed to dust/grease/oil/fumes and machinery
- Work schedule cis Monday through Friday or (4) 10-hour days depending on role eligibility #joinourteam Physical Requirements include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting/carrying (objects up to 50-100 pounds) from vehicle to work site, possibly in rough terrain, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
