This opening for an Instrumentation Specialist will be a critical part of the companies engineering and operations teams. Responsible for providing support and direction for the Instrumentation Engineering aspects of various projects. This role involves working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to develop and maintain control design and electrical specifications, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day operational support to the Instrumentation Engineering Team.
- Work with clients, contractors, and internal teams to produce the Control Design Book
- Assist field personnel with technical issues as they arise, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Lead the development of specifications for instrumentation equipment and detailed control designs for projects.
- Optimize instrument systems to ensure minimal cost and compliance with required performance standards.
- Solicit and review vendor quotes based on instrumentation specifications.
- Contribute to the long-term development of the Instrumentation Engineering Team and its personnel, fostering growth and expertise within the team.
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required.
Experience & Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in instrumentation, preferably within industrial plant settings.
- Proficiency in major DCS controls platforms ( ex. Siemens, Foxboro, Rockwell, or Emerson Delta V)
- Experience with 3D modeling software, AutoCAD, P&IDs, and 2D drafting.
- Familiarity with software tools like PROCORE and PIDMO.
- Strong external/customer-facing skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
