Description Tehachapi Cement, LLC is seeking qualified Instrumentation Technicians to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our cement plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, installing, and replacing all electronic, electrical, and mechanical devices related to instrumentation. This role is crucial for the seamless operation of the plant's instrumentation systems.Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise: Read, understand, and apply schematics, drawings, technical publications, and logic related to instrumentation.
- Maintenance Program: Implement preventive and corrective maintenance, including reporting and adherence to maintenance protocols.
- Administrative Procedures: Apply warehouse and administrative procedures effectively.
- Equipment Management: Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, install, and replace all electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment related to instrumentation.
- Tool Utilization: Use required tools and systems, including personal computers, calibrators, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Process Understanding: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the cement manufacturing process and related physics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Technical Systems Experience:
- Laboratory Instruments: Atomic Absorption, Balances, Press, X-Ray.
- Sampling Systems: Gamma Metric, Raw Mill Sampling.
- Process Control Software: Loops, Alarms, Interlocks, Point Definitions, Group Starts.
- Hardware: I/O Cards and associated devices.
- Flow Meters: Feeders, Impact Plates, Weight Devices, Load Cells, Strain Gauges.
- Process Instrumentation: Gas Analyzers, Gas Sampling, Pressure Sensors, Temperature Sensors, Level Sensors, Vibration Sensors, Actuator Sensors.
- Miscellaneous Plant Systems: Phone System, Intercom System, Halon System, Uninterruptible Power Supply.
Physical Demands:
- General: Regularly talk and hear; frequently stand, walk, sit, and use hands for handling tools and controls.
- Reaching and Balancing: Reach with hands and arms at or above shoulder height; stand, walk, climb or balance on stairs and ladders; stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Environment: Walk on uneven surfaces, including rocky, muddy, and snowy/icy areas.
- Lifting: Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Vision: Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

- Language: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Union Membership: Candidates will be required to join the Union upon completion of a 90-day probationary period.
