Starting hourly wage $36.48TAMKO Building Products LLC is seeking an Instrumentation Technician at our High Street manufacturing facility. The Instrumentation Technician will perform instrumentation activities pertaining to automation, reliability standards, inspection, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement. The candidate is also tasked with maintaining, troubleshooting, and performing investigative tasks on PLCs, HMIs, and automated systems on the manufacturing floor.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. - Modifies siemens 505 & S7 PLC and Wonderware HMI's.
- Selects, installs, configures and calibrates prox eyes, thermo couples, and other industrial sensors arrays.
- Understands and follows all safety regulations, actively participates in plant safety programs, and tests equipment for safety and efficiency.
- Supports a positive team atmosphere.
- Identifies parts needed for electrical maintenance and repair projects and obtains these parts from the parts room.
- Transports parts and equipment between work projects in progress.
- Uses electrical hand tools or voltage or amperage measuring and recording devices.
- Performs electrical repairs on various types of electrical equipment per SOP's and PM's.
- Bends, hangs and runs conduit where needed. Pulls electrical cable and wire in conduit. Transports and stacks conduit and electrical wire as needed.
- Trains operators on new systems and updates LOTO and SOP information.

The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat, vibration and confined spaces. The employee is occasionally exposed to acidic or caustic chemicals. A respirator may be required at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, with hearing protection provided.
