Part-Time Sales and Customer Service Associate / Insurance Account Representative Job Purpose: - Assist with agency marketing efforts

Experience and Knowledge General knowledge of office procedures and customer service experience is preferred. Some insurance knowledge is helpful but not required for an individual who is ambitious and willing to learn. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Word is required.

Training and Development The employee will be expected to complete Agent's Staff Training within the first six months of employment. The employee will be expected to have or obtain the Maine Property and Casualty License and the Maine Life and Health license within the first four months of employment. The agent will pay costs associated with licensing required by the State of Maine contingent upon an employee service commitment of one year, beginning with the date the employee becomes fully licensed. The agent will pay for the passing exams and you may only take the individual product tests three times. Should the employee terminate employment prior to serving the one year commitment, the agent reserves the right to reimburse licensing and associated costs by subtracting this amount from the employee's pay. Licensed staff members are expected to complete the required continuing education courses to maintain their license.
Essential Responsibilities - Must be available to work in-office on Tuesdays and Fridays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Meet or exceed sales and service / activity goals as outlined in the business plan or as directed by the agent
- Execute the marketing plan
- Cold prospecting and X-dating
- Conduct sales appointments and Family Insurance Checkups
- Deliver unsurpassed customer service and utilize service as a marketing opportunity
- Continuous self-development
- Warm and professional interaction with clients and prospects who walk into the office or call on the phone
- Responding to Internet / Email inquiries by clients and prospects
- Execute the 1-3-5 Claims Service program
- Implement and utilize systems established in the agency operation
- Establish and develop a knowledge base that will enable sales proposals for all products appropriate to the level of licensure.
- Accountable for the actions items within the Beginning of the Day (BOD) report is managed daily, splitting the functions of the report by 50% with additional team member.
- Handling additional responsibilities as assigned by the agent
