OPPORTUNITY

The Bahnsen Group (TBG) is seeking an associate to join the Risk Team in the Minnesota office. The role is a full-time, in-office position. The Risk Team provides advice to clients of TBG on the topics of life insurance, disability insurance, long-term care insurance, and annuities. We are focused on providing fiduciary consultation and advice as part of TBG's mission to provide holistic service to clients. The Risk Team also writes new policies for clients and aims to provide white glove service through the whole process. The TBG Risk Associate will manage new business and policy servicing functions for the team and will work towards taking the lead on all licensing needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive new business functions
  • Gain proficiency in a variety of software tools required for new business
  • Ensure agent licensing and appointment is up to date before submitting applications
  • Gather information for insurance/annuity applications (from client and others at TBG)
  • Complete applications and coordinate signatures
  • Monitor cases during underwriting and report case status to the team weekly
  • Manage correspondence between insurance broker and client during underwriting
  • Gather data for annual reviews of in-force policies
  • Complete servicing requests for existing policies (address/beneficiary/owner change, allocation change, loan requests, payment changes, etc.)
  • Maintain organization of paperless files

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong organizational, mathematical, and analytical skills
  • Must enjoy a collaborative, team-focused working environment
  • Excellent and continuous attention to detail with a desire to improve process and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
  • Possesses a drive for intellectual growth to be of optimal service to the team and for the advancement of their career within TBG
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Resident life & health license optional, but useful
