Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Accountant , responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of a portfolio of captive insurance companies primarily in the Southeastern United States. This role involves close collaboration with a team of professionals to ensure compliance with financial and accounting standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of financial statements for a diverse portfolio of accounts
- Completion of regulatory filings and premium tax returns
- Preparation of materials for annual Board meetings
- Reconciliation of loss and investment report data
- Oversight of cash management for assigned portfolios
- Support and compilation of financial information for captive audits/examinations
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reports and regulatory filings

- Experience 3-5 years experience in preparing financial statements adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or related standards

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience
- Prior experience in captive insurance is advantageous but not required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
