Position: Insurance Customer Service Representative Location: On-site As an Insurance Customer Service Representative (Personal Lines) you will assist the team in exceeding their client's expectations by maintaining solid customer relationships. You will be responsible for handling personal insurance coverage inquiries and concerns with speed and professionalism through daily interaction with customers, insurance carriers, and fellow employees while conducting specific service and marketing activities. Responsibilities:
- Perform all account transactions including applications, quotations, ID Cards, endorsements,
- binders, claims, renewals, follow-ups, and correspondence.
- Respond to client inquiries, incoming mail, and company request
- Conduct annual coverage surveys and recommend additional coverages and/or increases in limits
- Review new business, renewals, and endorsements as needed to insured items received as ordered
- Obtain expiration dates for additional policies and follow through to make sales of companion lines
- on all mono-line accounts
- Keep informed of new sales programs
- Sell new personal lines accounts within the agency management system and use AMS for all
- transactions
- Participate in educational seminars/classes for continuous improvement of insurance knowledge
- Maintain knowledge of current underwriting requirements of contracted insurance carriers
- Perform special projects at management's request
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience using property casualty personal lines product knowledge including
- coverages, underwriting, and rating
- Willingness to learn and grow with the agency
- People-oriented and customer-focused
- Understanding of insurance policies and procedures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Technical and client relations expertise
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- College degree, CISR, ACSR, CIC, or CPCU preferred
- Possession of relevant insurance certifications or licenses required
