The Intake Admission Clinician is critical in responding to referrals and service requests, conducting assessments for individuals of all ages, and collaborating with physicians to determine appropriate dispositions. This role provides technical assistance in the discharge planning process under the direction of the Director of A&R. It serves as the primary contact for the community, offering resources and support to callers and walk-ins. Additionally, the Clinician supports the case management program with general duties.Key Responsibilities:Respond to referrals and service requests promptly and efficiently.Conduct assessments for individuals of all ages.Collaborate with physicians to determine proper dispositions.Provide technical assistance in the discharge planning process.Serve as the first point of contact for community resources and support.Support the case management program with general assistance.MUST Work 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts)Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:Education & Education: Registered Nurse or Master's Degree in a human relations field required.Experience: Preferably two or more years' experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting. A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a psychiatric hospital setting including customer contact.Licensure: Licensed to practice in the State of Illinois as a mental health professional is preferred.Additional Requirements: A working knowledge of the latest DSM and Mental Status Exam. A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field.
