Job Description: Intake/Admissions Psych Registered Nurse Location: Holyoke, MA Schedule: Full-time 40 Hours, Monday through Friday 3pm - 11:30pm (Weekend and Holiday rotation when needed) Intake/Admissions experience required One year of adult and adolescent inpatient psych experience required We are unable to accommodate any RTO for this 13 week contract Must be willing to float and take charge. Responsibilities: TheRegistered Nurse (RN) is an active participant in the health care team whoprovides direct and indirect care to patients/families/legal guardians. TheRegistered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining a safe therapeutic milieugrounded in TaraVista Behavioral Health Center core principles. The RegisteredNurse (RN) works collaboratively as a member of the multi-disciplinarytreatment team and contributes to each patients individual treatment plan byhelping develop, implement, and document appropriate goals and interventions,informed by patient strengths and presenting psychiatric problems. Qualifications: Education: RN license within the State of Massachusetts required; BSNpreferred. Experience: Previous psychiatric / substance inpatient experiencepreferred. CPR certification required. Restraint Reduction de-escalation /crisis intervention experience preferred. Skills: Thesuccessful candidate will demonstrate ability to use critical thinking to makedecisions and solve problems; have an advanced level knowledge of BehaviorHealth and Substance Abuse treatment modalities; applies nursing process from aTrauma Informed Recovery model of care; ability to develop a therapeuticrelationship while maintaining professional boundaries; effective oral andwritten communication; sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate useof Electronic Medical Record; crisis management, time management, delegating,coaching and team building skills; and be flexible, creative and able to managestressful situations in a calm, organized and professional manner bout MiraVist MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is aninnovative 84 bed inpatient hospital.
