Job Description:
Twenty10 provides a broad range of specialised services for LGBTIQA+ people and people of diverse genders, sexualities and intersex status including; housing, mental health, counselling and social supports for young people, counselling and social support services to adults, and inclusivity trainingand consultation for organisations and service providers across most sectors.The Intake and Referral Coordinator is a peer support role and is the first point of contact for external stakeholders seeking information and/or access to Twenty10's programs and support services. This role also provides information, support and referrals to other relevant services and provide administrative support to the Client Services Team advocating for those seeking support, co-ordinate bookings with the Counselling team and other support staff. They also fulfil non print resource requests for schools, families and other services, and support care co-ordination requests as required.The Intake and Referral Co-Ordinator is a fixed term contract until June 2026, working a 9 day fortnight, 9.30 am - 5pm, paid as per SCHADS Level 3. The role is based in Inner Sydney and commences in January 2025.Twenty10 staff are provided with individual supervision and professional development opportunities.Qualifications and PrerequisitesRelevant tertiary qualification or experience within social work, youth work, community services, support services and administration.Current NSW Working with Children Check clearance and National Police Check Certificate upon commencement.Experience RequiredStrong knowledge and understanding of the current issues affecting LGBTIQA+ young people, including mental health and homelessness.Extensive knowledge and understanding of social support services in NSW.Computer SkillsComputer skills including use of full suite of Microsoft Office 365.Aptitude & Interpersonal SkillsSelf-motivation and ability to deal with a high level of responsibility, adaptable and responsive to a variety of activities and team dynamicsHighly-developed verbal and written communication skillsStrong administrative skillsDemonstrated ability to respond to service users from a diverse range of backgrounds with diverse help seeking needsProven ability to manage competing demands, planning, organisation, time management, attention to detail.Please see the Position Description for a thorough outline of the role's requirements and duties.Twenty10 is an EEO employer.
