Job Summary The Intake Coordinator processes all incoming patients, monitors patient flow, answers telephone to Company standards, and schedules/confirms patient appointments. The Representative communicates between the patient and office to ensure all protocols are being followed and uses a strong working knowledge of medical terminology to address patient inquiries, solve problems and promote services. Job Responsibilities
- Follow HIPAA regulations
- Ensure customers' expectations are exceeded by directing and communicating patient needs effectively
- Collaborate with Intake Team and receptionists to schedule new patients quickly and efficiently
- Utilize Company resources to determine where patients should treat, based off geography and insurance eligibility
- Answer phone calls courteously, collect and document detailed information, and route phone calls appropriately based on office protocols
- Correspond with patients, patient reps, and attorneys regarding initial appointment details
- Efficiently provide basic office administrative support tasks such as emails, updating spreadsheets, e-faxing, etc.
- Communicate efficiently via phone and email
- Upload/download documents to/from the EHR
- Document updates in multiple spreadsheets
- Contact attorneys regarding client no-show appointments
- Work as part of a team and also work independently
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Knowledge of workers' compensation, motor vehicle accidents, and personal injury cases preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of computer applications, including Windows, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of different insurance eligibilities
