ResponsibilitiesINTAKE CLINICIAN: Full time DaysHavenwyck Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited and licensed psychiatric hospital, overlooking Lake Galloway in Auburn Hills, Michigan. We specialize in providing comprehensive, compassionate behavioral health services to children, adolescents, andadults. It is the ultimate goal of our dedicated staff to build strength, confidence, and knowledge within each patient, in hopes that they may continue learning and understanding their needs and practicing self-care for the rest of their lives.Havenwyck Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Intake Clinician to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.POSITION SUMMARY:The Intake Clinician obtains initial clinical phone information which is communicated to the physician on call to make a final decision regarding admission. The Clinician may also schedule a clinical evaluation if appropriate for the client and contacts the physician who will make a decision for the appropriate level of care: inpatient, day treatment, or outpatient care. The Clinician will facilitate this process by assisting the client, family, and referral sources. They also provide information to clients, families, and referral sources regarding treatment programs, insurance, and admission procedures as well as providing referral assistance for patients assessed as inappropriate for admission.
