About the Intake Specialist:
As an Intake Specialist, you will play a vital role in the initial assessment of clients seeking behavioral and mental health services. You will provide intake assessments and 1:1 sessions for clients to further evaluate needs, offer support, and develop personalized care plans. This position requires a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a similar Human Resources field. A deep understanding of mental health conditions, treatment options, and crisis management is a must.
Our Ideal Intake Specialist Has:
- REQUIRED: A master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a similar Human Resources field.
- Licensed or license-eligible in PA (LCSW, LPC, LSW, or equivalent) highly preferred.
- 2-3 years of post-graduate experience in behavioral or mental health settings, including intake assessments, clinical evaluations, and conducting 1:1 therapeutic sessions.
- Strong understanding of mental health diagnoses, treatment interventions, and evidence-based practices.
- Crisis intervention and management experience highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
