A leading provider of behavioral and mental health services dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families seeks an Intake Specialist to join our team by splitting their time between our Harrisburg and York offices. We offer a collaborative, client-centered approach to mental health care, and our team is committed to supporting individuals and families through comprehensive behavioral health services.

About the Intake Specialist:

As an Intake Specialist, you will play a vital role in the initial assessment of clients seeking behavioral and mental health services. You will provide intake assessments and 1:1 sessions for clients to further evaluate needs, offer support, and develop personalized care plans. This position requires a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a similar Human Resources field. A deep understanding of mental health conditions, treatment options, and crisis management is a must.

Our Ideal Intake Specialist Has:

  • REQUIRED: A master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a similar Human Resources field.
  • Licensed or license-eligible in PA (LCSW, LPC, LSW, or equivalent) highly preferred.
  • 2-3 years of post-graduate experience in behavioral or mental health settings, including intake assessments, clinical evaluations, and conducting 1:1 therapeutic sessions.
  • Strong understanding of mental health diagnoses, treatment interventions, and evidence-based practices.
  • Crisis intervention and management experience highly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse populations.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
