Job Description:
We are a Veteran owned organization that takes pride in servicing our active service-members and Veterans. We currently have two companies that service military personnel and Veterans in a multitude of ways, United Shield Life Insurance and United Veteran Benefits Agency. Our mission is to provide each individual person with the support they need to transition from the military smoothly and with the education necessary to make informed decisions about their benefits. In addition, it is important to us that we ensure our Veterans receive the support they need to obtain the VA disability rating they have earned.United Veteran Benefits Agency is currently seeking an Intake Specialist to provide exceptional support to our current and prospective clients through the claims development process.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Complete initial intake interview with prospective client.
  • Provide clients with a complete explanation of the contract and claims development process.
  • Follow up with prospective clients through the lead conversion and intake process.
  • Send out contracts to Veterans who want to proceed with the claims process.
  • Utilize the online VA systems to place Intent to File (ITF) and complete and submit the appropriate forms/documents.
  • Maintain Salesforce database to include uploading files, making notes, updating anticipated close date, and completing tasks.
  • Work with the Administrative Assistant to answer phones and process any potential leads.

  • Maintain a positive rapport with all prospective and current clients.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle daily case management.
  • Ability to present realistic recommended courses of action plans designed to assist clients and develop confidence in our brand.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to accurately complete tasks.
  • Experience in Salesforce preferred.
The ideal candidate will also:
  • Possess an understanding of military culture and terminology.
  • Possess the ability to move a prospective client through the initial process necessary to becoming a client.
