Job Description:

OverviewTactical Engineering and Analysis is seeking a?TTWCS Logistics Engineer to function as a technical liaison, providing guidance to engineers and analysts developing the next version of Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TTWCS) and maintaining the current version, ensuring that the impacts of future changes are understood so that the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) community can update their products to reflect new capabilities and features. They will work in a collaborative environment which leverages telcons, in-person meetings, and virtual meetings as part of a systems engineering team. This position requires on-site presence in Fredericksburg, VA with some limited opportunity for hybrid teleworking, with occasional onsite support at Naval Surface Warfare Dahlgren.ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions/Job Duties:Participate in daily/weekly, reoccurring logistics engineering working group and technical interchange meetingsProvide ILS representation at program meetings and analysis of proposed system change candidates to determine potential ILS impactsProvide system engineering, technical support for the ILS function through the development of source material for ILS productsEnsure engineering changes are properly incorporated in technical, operation and maintenance products to include User ImpactDocuments, Maintenance and Fault Isolation Manual, User Guides, Interactive Courseware, and othersServe as the ILS representative and primary source material coordinator for TTWCSDevelop, manage and present logistics program impact briefs and papers for TTWCS in support of logistics product developmentReview and analyze system requirements and identify training and operations impacts to the appropriate requirements and/or design specificationsDevelop change package training and logistics impact reviews for TTWCS emergent engineering candidates detailing logistics products impacted, Fleet Support concerns, training impacts and provide draft logistics and training impact statements for US platformsSupport the design structure and user interface for a secure database to track product modification progress for ILS productsProvide fleet support representation for all change packages reviewing and providing inputs to requirements, interfaces, design for change package whitepapers and artifactsPrepare and present Tomahawk systems engineering working group change request (CR) reports detailing CR impacts, workaround and recommendations for documentationTrack board decisions and assigned action items through workaround publicationInterface with Systems Engineering and Software functional areas to update procedural workarounds for TTWCS fielded baselinesEvaluate high priority change requests (CR) with Fleet Support/Integrated Logistics Support impact, adjudicate these CRs during the Change Review Board, and assign, track, and assist with development of work around source materialTrack documentation out for review of Working Group, Hardware, Software and Fleet Support review items. Assign reviews to various activities. Collect and collate comments and provide to author for adjudicationEquipment Used:Laptop Computer and peripheral equipmentEssential Physical Tasks:Ability to lift 10 lbs. on an occasional basis.Ability to use a personal computer, keyboard and mouse on a consistent basis.Written Communications:Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Clear translation of thoughts into technical reports. plans and correspondencesVerbal Communications:Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills.Active communicator - giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.Qualifications*Required Skills and Experience:Minimum of four (4) years professional or operational experience with major DOD weapon systems programs with preference given to those with TTWCS Fleet experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office productsPreferred Skills and Experience:??Knowledge of Naval strike warfare programs and operations such as TomahawkExperience in the impact analysis and refinement of fielded, Fleet ILS products and Tomahawk system documentation that need to be modified based on specific engineering changesSome experience with Microsoft Access and Jira Customer Interface Activities:```{=html}``` - Uses independent discretion to develop an effective client to customer communication process involving stakeholder identification, planned communication, efficient information distribution, and managing expectations.Project Management / Staff Supervision Tasks:Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.Work Schedule:STD 80The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements.Minimum Education Requirements:None required, but preference is given to those with a Bachelor of Science in engineering, mathematics, physics or computer scienceU.S. Citizenship is requiredSecurity Clearance:Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required.
