Job Title: Intellectual Property Associate Attorney

Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified Intellectual Property (IP) Associate with 2 or more years of experience in patent and trademark prosecution, as well as IP transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing prosecution dockets and preparing USPTO filings. This role requires effective communication with clients and colleagues, and the ability to provide strategic IP advice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day patent and trademark prosecution dockets.
• Prepare and file documents with the USPTO, including applications and responses to office actions.
• Conduct comprehensive searches and prepare clearance opinions and advice for clients.
• Draft and negotiate IP transaction agreements, including software agreements.
• Assist in conducting IP due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and clients to develop effective IP strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IP laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Florida, Georgia, California, DC, New Jersey, or New York.
• A USPTO registration number
• 2+ years of relevant experience in patent and trademark prosecution and IP transactions.
• Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and practical judgment skills.
