Consumer products company is seeking a full-time litigation legal assistant with IP prosecution and enforcement experience. We are currently looking for an energetic, detail-oriented people person with exceptional multi-tasking skills to join our team.
Job Title: IP Legal Assistant
Location: New York, NY
Salary Range: Up to $90k based on ability and experience
Position Type: Full-time; hybrid position (in-office/remote)
Duties:
- Perform daily case management tasks, including organization and maintenance of trademarks, copyrights and patent dockets;
- Conduct factual research to compile infringement evidence for enforcement on retail platforms, lawsuits and/or cease & desist letters;
- Support business team in acting as go between with outside IP counsel.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with a strong academic record;
- Detail-oriented with outstanding organization and communication skills;
- At least 2 years legal assistant support experience required;
- At least 2 years practical work experience, ideally in a detail-oriented, professional office environment;
- Basic understanding of litigation preferred;
- Exceptional Excel and Adobe skills
- Advanced MS Office skills;
- Proficiency in docketing and online research and internet search resources (LexisNexis, Pacer etc.);
- Experience in on-line intellectual property enforcement (Amazon Brand Registry); and
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently, as well as in a team setting, to manage competing deadlines and assignments; confident and highly motivated personality.
