Job Description:

A facility in Glens Falls, NY is looking for an Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN). This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Travel experience is preferred. Candidates must be willing to float to MS/Tele if needed, with a maximum of 4 patients. The position requires working every other weekend and every other holiday. De-escalation training for all units (Welle, CPI, or PClientS) is required. Candidates must have EPIC experience, and CERNER experience is strongly preferred. A minimum of 4 years of nursing experience and at least 2.5 years in Critical Care is required. Requirements

  • Current BLS certification
  • Current nursing license per the state of assignment
  • EPIC experience
  • CERNER experience (strongly preferred)

  • Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM
  • Float to MS if needed (4 patient max)
  • Duration: 15 weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 per week
  • Facility can cancel up to 5 shifts per contract
Unit Details The ICU unit is comprised of 16 critical care beds, with the ability to overflow into an adjacent 6-bed area to accommodate increases in census. This area is staffed and equipped to provide highly skilled interdisciplinary services to patients requiring complex and intensive nursing care interventions for life-threatening conditions. Each room is private, and all critical care beds accommodate invasive pressure monitoring, continuous cardiac & oximetry monitoring, and additional monitoring equipment as required for specific patient needs. The population served includes patients aged 18 years and older through geriatric years. The unit operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, and includes a conference room for family meetings and a covering case manager available seven days per week to assist patients and families.
