Position Description:

As the Interim DTC Manager, you will spearhead the development and execution of our direct-to-consumer strategy, driving growth and enhancing customer engagement. You will lead a team to deliver compelling digital experiences and manage significant P&L responsibilities. Your role will involve overseeing site replatforming projects, implementing data-driven strategies, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve key business objectives. Your expertise will be crucial in leveraging brand strengths and aligning omnichannel opportunities to maximize impact.

This role is hybrid and requires applicants to live in the following states: IL, IN, NY, NJ and be willing to commute to a local office (Chicago/NYC) two days a week.

Responsibilities and Functions:

  • Accelerate Growth: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital full-funnel strategy to attract, guide, convert, and retain both current and prospective audiences.
  • P&L Management: Oversee a significant P&L with full accountability, including forecasting, reporting, prioritization, resource allocation, and strategy development to achieve growth and profitability targets.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing eCommerce team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Digital Product & Growth Initiatives: Implement and optimize digital features and campaigns to enhance user experience, leveraging personalization, AI, and other advanced technologies.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with global teams and agency partners to ensure seamless execution of marketing strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with brand, creative, content, and marketing teams across North America, Sweden, China, and ROW to align on campaign development and execution.
  • Thought Leadership: Serve as the DTC subject matter expert within Blueair, driving thought leadership and innovative approaches.
  • Agile Methodology: Promote and implement agile practices within the team, focusing on customer-centric priorities and optimizing the agile approach for enhanced results.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Apply a data-driven mindset to analyze performance metrics, derive actionable insights, and make informed decisions that drive growth and efficiency.
  • Subscription Strategy: Support a robust subscription strategy to maximize customer lifetime value (LTV) and foster long-term brand loyalty.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing or similar field.
  • Extensive DTC Experience: 8-10 years of direct-to-consumer marketing experience, with a strong track record in managing large-scale campaigns and achieving significant growth in a consumer durable goods environment.
  • Proven Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, with experience in managing people and driving collaboration across departments.
  • Strategic and Analytical Expertise: Advanced skills in developing and executing DTC strategies, with a deep understanding of performance marketing, data analytics, and consumer behavior to inform decision-making and drive results.
  • P&L Management: Solid experience in managing substantial P&L accounts, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to meet profitability and growth targets.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with DTC site replatforming and updates, particularly on platforms like Shopify, including a strong grasp of project management and execution timelines.
  • Subscription and LTV Focus: Proven ability to design and implement successful subscription models and retention strategies that enhance customer lifetime value (LTV) and foster brand loyalty.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in durable consumer products sector is a major plus.
