Job Description:

The MassArt Department of Community Health & Well-Being is seeking an Interim Health Promotion Manager for health and well-being support at the college. This position plays a vital role in assisting the department in promoting the overall health and well-being of students, staff, and faculty. This position is responsible for supporting initiatives that enhance physical, mental, and emotional well-being within the college community. This position is essential for supporting the department in ensuring that students have access to the resources and assistance they need to thrive academically and personally. They will play a key part in fostering a culture of health and well-being on campus.

This position is a six-months contractor position.

Hours: 40 hrs/wk; Pay: $40/hr

Key Duties and Responsibilities

* Assist in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion programs and services tailored to the needs of students, staff, and faculty, of the MassArt community.

* Work alongside several campus partners such as the Counseling Center, Justice Equity Transformation, Human Resources, and more to facilitate health initiatives and enhance the visibility of resources available to students, staff, and faculty.

* Support the implementation of college policies and procedures related to health services, contributing to advocate for policies that benefit student well-being.

* Assist in conducting assessments to identify health trends and needs within the student body, using data to inform program development and resource allocation.

* Help develop communication strategies to increase awareness about health and well-being resources, engaging students, staff, and faculty in wellness activities.

* Provide general guidance and support to Community Health & Well-Being Staff including a full-time Coordinator, graduate assistant, and undergraduate student leaders

* Assist in the development, tracking, and reporting of the Community Health & Well-Being budget to ensure effective allocation and use of resources for programs and initiatives.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

* A master's degree in public health, health education, or a related field.

* 2+ Years experience in health promotion, wellness programming, or a related area, in a higher education setting.

* Experience in budget and grant management, expense tracking, and resource allocation

* Proficient in Google Suite (Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) with experience in collaborative document editing, data analysis, and presentation design.

Preferred Qualifications

* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Excellent organizational skills.

* Knowledge of current health trends and issues affecting college students.
