Interim Infection Prevention Nurse- AZAmerican Consultants is looking for an interim Infection Prevention Nurse for a facility outside of Flagstaff, AZThe successful candidate will play a critical role in enhancing patient safety by developing, implementing, and monitoring infection control measures in our facility. This position requires a nurse with a strong infection prevention background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to quickly adapt to the needs of our team.Responsibilities- Oversee infection prevention and control activities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.- Conduct risk assessments, perform surveillance activities, and investigate infection outbreaks.- Educate healthcare staff on infection prevention protocols and procedures, providing on-the-spot training when necessary.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance safety and promote effective infection control practices.- Collect and analyze infection data, preparing reports for internal review and external agencies.- Serve as a resource for infection prevention guidelines, maintaining and updating policies as needed.- Participate in staff meetings and work closely with administration to address infection control concerns.Qualifications- Current RN license in [State].- Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field preferred.- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is required- Minimum of 2 years experience in infection prevention or infection control within a healthcare setting.- Strong knowledge of infection control standards (e.g., CDC, OSHA, APIC).- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
