Job Description:

Are you a seasoned payroll professional who thrives on ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing? Bright Talent is actively seeking experienced payroll manager consultants who are proficient in using ADP to support our clients' payroll operations on a project basis.

As a Payroll Manager Consultant with Bright Talent, you will play a crucial role in managing our clients' payroll processes and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining efficiency and accuracy throughout scheduled payroll cycles. Specific responsibilities will be determined on the client needs, but may include:

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage and mentor the payroll team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Handle payroll reporting and ensure all payroll-related taxes are filed accurately and on time.
  • Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Prepare and present payroll reports to senior management.
  • Assist in the implementation of new payroll systems or updates to existing systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Certification such as CCP (Certified Payroll Professional) or similar (preferred).
  • 5+ years of hands-on payroll experience as a payroll manager.
  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Experience with multi-state/multi-location companies, a plus.
  • Experience in auditing payroll processes and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Experience processing equity payouts
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for precise payroll processing.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and lead when necessary.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and payroll software, specifically ADP.

Location: This position is hybrid where most days are in the office in LA County and 1-2 days remote.
