Job Description:

Major, Lindsey & Africa's Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for a Full-Time Interim Real Estate Attorney for a 6-month assignment.

Overview: Our Client seeks a skilled Real Estate Attorney for a temporary–to-permanent opportunity.

Company: Our Client is a nationally recognized leader in the vehicle rental industry, providing mobility solutions through car rentals, car sharing and fleet management services across 180 countries.

Experience: The ideal candidate for this role possesses 3-5 years experience at a major law firm or in-house, with the majority of their time spent practicing real estate law at a major law firm.

Location: 5 days a week in office

Responsibilities Include:

  • Report to the General Counsel and provide legal oversight for airport concessions, leases, and non airport real estate transactions ( acquisitions, dispositions, leases) related to operations and support functions
  • Act as the primary contact for U.S. real estate matters
  • Manage and supervise outside counsel to ensure timely, efficient, and hig-quality service.
  • Oversee real estate abstracts and advise on lease and concession agreement interpretation and administration.
  • Support franchise acquisitions or dispositions by addressing related real estate issues.
  • Advise the VP of Real Estate and team on legal considerations for all real estate matters

Qualifications Include:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New Jersey bar is required; candidates with admission to another state bar must be willing to waive into the New Jersey bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of in-house or major lawfirm experience practicing real estate law.
  • Strong knowledge of Real Estate law, with experience handling complex lease agreements.
  • Highly effective negotiating skills, with solid business instincts and judgment
  • Experience with maintaining, monitoring and managing the budget for all aspects of real estate legal work
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently and effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Government Affairs/Regulatory experience strongly preferred
  • Skills and abilities, you should have:
  • Understanding of airport procurement procedures
  • General knowledge of local government operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with Visual Lease or similar lease administration software
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely

Pay Range: $90-$100hourly
