Client:

Our client, a boutique interior design firm, offers services in New York, New Jersey, and nationwide. Specializing in luxury residential design, they work in close partnership with their in-house architecture firm. With a collaborative team of designers, the firm is equipped to manage every design phase, from the initial concept to construction drawings and final project installation.

Description:

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the interior set documentation and coordinate the interior drafting team. Reporting to the interior design director, this position requires attention to detail, organization, and technical experience. Candidate should be comfortable with all phases of a project from schematic design to construction administration. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Produce technical and construction documentation (plans, elevations, architectural/millwork details) that illustrate the design intent and use of materials for residential projects

Oversee and redlines outsourced interior drafting set when applicable

Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control during construction

Review shop drawings

Work closely with internal design & architectural team to coordinate architectural design

Work with consultants, contractors, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives

Interface directly with clients to facilitate the project objectives

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience with at least 2 completed residential projects from, setting up and completing both Design Development and Construction Documentation Sets of drawings
  • We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with the ability to work on multiple projects and within set deadlines
  • A keen sense of interior millwork, metal/glass and stone detailing as it relates to maintaining the design intent as well is required
  • Must have excellent interpersonal abilities, strong organizational capabilities, and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment

Education:

Minimum 4-year Bachelor Degree, Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture

Salary / Hourly:

75-90k
