The Role:

Our client, a full-service luxury residential design studio acclaimed for crafting unique and individualized spaces, are seeking an Interior Design Project Manager to join their team in New York. This firms esteemed reputation is rooted in its dedication to thoughtfully designed interiors that curate a positive atmosphere.

As the Interior Design Project Manager you will oversee the entire process of high-end residential projects from initial concept to final execution. This role will also serve as the primary liaison for deliverables and client expectation management.

This is an exciting opportunity for senior designers to take on a leadership role within a prestigious firm, working on exclusive and innovative projects that set industry standards. The successful candidate will have the chance to shape the direction of high-end residential design, collaborate with a talented team, and bring their creative vision to life in some of the most luxurious homes!

This is a hybrid role however, requires a minimum of three days in the office spanning Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the full scope of high-end residential projects
  • Coordinate project planning, resource management, fee assessments, and budget oversight
  • Select fabrics and materials for design concepts
  • Issue and monitor work and purchase orders
  • Liaise closely with clients ensuring solid relationships are built and maintained
  • Track and monitor client and vendor payments while efficiently managing time to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Attend and facilitate project meetings while contributing insights, proposing ideas, and assisting the Creative Director

Key Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience within high-end residential interior design projects
  • 3+ years of project experience in the New York area is preferable
  • Proficient in Excel, word processing, and presentation software
  • Proficient in AutoCAD preferred
  • Familiar with the renovation process, as well as expertise in creating custom furniture drawings and overseeing production
  • Knowledge of the New York City market, encompassing vendors and custom fabricators
  • Excellent multitasking and organization skills
