We are actively hiring multiple REMOTE Interior Design Specialists for one of the largest eCommerce companies headquartered in Seattle, WA- role will be 100% remote!About the role:Location: 100% remote but candidates must reside within the U.S.Schedule: Monday-Friday, full 40 hour work week, 8-5pm in your time zone (PST, MST, CST, EST)Training: First 4 weeks candidates must be able to work Monday-Friday 8-5pm PST OR 9-6pm PSTStart date: September 23rd 2024Duration: 6 month contract position with potential for extension or conversion based off of performance.Compensation: Pay: $25/hrSeeking an enthusiastic, independent individual to join the Home Design Team (HDT). The HDT is a group of professional interior designers who partner closely with tech and product teams to develop cutting-edge shopping experiences for customers. Our team leverages expertise in design to help tech teams create high quality room renders and train machine learning algorithms to help make stylistic recommendations to customers. The Catalog Specialist will work closely with tech teams to audit model outputs, design rooms, and have the opportunity to directly impact customer-facing products. In this role you will be working closely with our product and technology teams to design and bring to life new customer experiences within the Home category. In addition, you will evolve the definition of furniture styles, and you will support our data scientists 'classification algorithm development.SERVICES TO BE PERFORMEDBe the voice of high-quality Interior Design within the Home Innovation Team Assist with Home Innovation s style and design recommendation efforts, including evangelization to internal teams.Work with Product and Tech teams to develop new customer experiences Support Data Scientists with style algorithm developmentLearn from (internal) customer feedback and trends to ensure we are appropriately evolving style definitions and classification processes over timeREQUIRED SKILLS2-5+ years recent experience in residential interior design.MUST have a Bachelor's degreeProven track record of developing high quality interior design rooms and renders (portfolio)MUST have a portfolio to be considered for this roleAbility to learn new technical skills to design and visualize interior spaces.Strong analytical skills and the ability to deep dive on complex problemsAbility to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem-solving skillsPREFERRED SKILLS2+ years of experience annotating furniture piecesTrack record of cross-functional team leadership and ability to influenceExperience working with customers for residential design projectsActively follow trends, news, social media and influencers in, and affecting, interior designKnowledge of project management methodology, including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk and allocate resourcesAbility to deal with ambiguous problems and build solutions with proper project managementAptitude for being organized with flexibility and for delivering results in a fast-paced environmentWe reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
