Interior Designer/Project Manager Category: Interior Design Location: New York Job Description Interior Designer/Project Manager needed for High-End Residential and Commercial Firm - focusing on architectural aspects of projects.
Working closely with Principal and team tomanage projects from start to finish along with assisting with various aspects of projects currently in progress.
Development of floor plans and elevations. Managing specifications and documentations. Communication with contractors and vendors do ensure they are complying with all design specifications. Production of finish schedules and researching finishes and specifications.
Occasional on-site supervision of contractors and/or vendors to ensure design specifications are being executed correctly.
Production of purchase orders and proposals, tracking orders, product specification and installation coordination.
Must be organized, detail oriented, resourceful, able to multitask, work quickly and manage multiple deadlines
Ideal candidate would be familiar with the work of our firm.
Job Requirements -Minimum of 5 years experience working in high-end interior design firm; Bachelors or Master's degree in Interior Design
-Proficiency in CAD, sketching, Design Manager, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
-Extensive knowledge of furnishings and trade market and sourcing furniture, fabrics, and finishes.
-High-end construction job-site experience for new construction and renovations would be helpful
-Extensive knowledge in working with specialty workrooms on custom items (i.e. upholstery, window treatments, woodworkers, metal workers, refinishers).
