Job Description: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
- Responsible for planning and execution of environmental decor design and construction plans requiring independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques, material, and criteria.
- Supervises consulting designers, fabricators, and material suppliers to communicate goals and work processes.
- Manage progress and responsible for project completion based on established timeline.
- Maintain and manage interior environmental décor and trademarks as they are implemented and developed into projects.
- Produces environmental decor work according to established standards, methods, and procedures of work of the division.
- Evaluate and make recommendations on all new products and related decisions to manage overall company image. Improve and support decision making process with regular communication with internal departments.
- Manage their initiatives and needs with internal budget and schedule to obtain the best overall result for the company.
- Provide weekly updates on progress and develop strategy for next steps in project completion.
- Have a full understanding of stores as it related to customer, and associate experience, maintenance needs and overall space requirements.
- Possess a knowledge of the many types and uses of lighting and its impact on interior design and feeling of space.
- Foster imaginative and artistic solutions to design opportunities.
- Possess knowledge of wall, floor, and ceiling treatments as they relate to health, safety, welfare, and definition of space.
Supervisory Responsibilities The position does not directly supervise associates. Position does require management and collaboration with several internal and external architectural, marketing and merchandise consultants, groups, and agencies.
