The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of interior components of business jets. The Interior Specialist reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. RequirementsEssential Duties and Responsibilities1. Interior Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on the interior components of business jets, including but not limited to seats, panels, carpets, and cabinetry.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with interior components to ensure they meet manufacturer and FAA standards.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable FAA regulations and company policies.
2. Refurbishment and Modifications:
- Conduct refurbishment and modifications of aircraft interiors according to customer specifications and company guidelines.
- Work with various materials including leather, fabric, wood, and composite materials.
- Install, fit, and finish interior components with precision and care.
3. Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including detailed documentation of repairs and modifications.
- Ensure all maintenance logs, service bulletins, and regulatory compliance records are up-to-date and accurately reflect the work performed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough inspections of interior work to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
- Perform final quality checks and ensure all components are properly installed and functioning before aircraft release.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and enhance the quality of workmanship.
5. Customer Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide updates on the status of their projects.
- Address customer concerns and ensure their satisfaction with the finished product.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in aviation maintenance or interior craftsmanship preferred.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is a plus.
- Extensive experience sewing, surging, and gluing materials for interior refurbishment or other similar fabrication experience.
- Excellent hand skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools related to interior maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Pay$30.00 - $60.00/hour | DOE
