The Role:

Distinguished for their unique approach to interior design, our client is a well-known firm with expertise in both hospitality and residential projects. Their reputation has been built on their adept use of textures, patterns, and styles to create distinctive and exceptional environments. In their recently renovated New York office, characterized by a collaborative spirit, they are actively seeking an ambitious Intermediate Interior Designer. The role involves working on high-end interior projects within the restaurant and hospitality sector.

In this role, you will contribute to the entire design process, from concept through construction administration, for international hospitality-based projects. You will play an active role in the firm s project engagement, contributing to the professional reputation and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate throughout each step of the design process, from initial concept through construction administration
  • Coordinate and develop FF&E packages and material selections
  • Create initial design sketches utilizing CAD software
  • Communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and vendors
  • Support and contribute to a positive working environment
  • Confidently represent the company externally

Key Skills

  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited university in Interior Design or related fields
  • 3+ years of post-graduate experience
  • Notable experience within the hospitality sector
  • Comprehensive understanding of FF&E, joinery, and detailing
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Confidence in sketching and presenting new ideas.
  • High-level proficiencies with AutoCAD, Photoshop, and SketchUp
